What Do Developers Do All Day After AI?
Description: Your alarm goes off at 7. You fix one button, it takes three days, and you love every minute of it. The next morning your company rolls out Claude and Codex, and by lunch you're frontend, backend, design and product. Same salary.
AI now writes a big share of the code: in a 2026 survey, 42% of developers said AI writes at least half of theirs, and most spend less than half their week writing new code. Entry-level hiring dropped hard while senior roles held up. So what do developers actually do all day now?
