The Saudi-backed Yemeni military is conducting a massive offensive against Houthi positions in retaliation for the attack on the Riyadh airport. Intense clashes between rebel and government forces have turned the Yemeni provinces of Taiz, Marib, and Lahj into battlefields. Meanwhile, a Pakistani national has died in a fresh attack on the airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; an earlier attack had claimed the lives of at least 13 people, including a Bangladeshi-American. The armed group has carried out four separate attacks targeting Saudi Arabia in the past 24 hours. Amidst this situation, Iran has proposed mediating between the two sides to resolve the ongoing conflict.
