Israeli Fighter Jets Were Sent To Bomb FLYDUBAI Jet? 'Then Came A Shocking Last-Minute Move...'

Description: Israel was prepared to shoot down a Flydubai passenger jet carrying more than 170 people, including over 150 Israelis, if authorities concluded the aircraft had been hijacked and was being turned into a weapon, CBS News reports. The crisis erupted after Flight 1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv plunged thousands of feet as its Omani co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain. A hijacking signal was transmitted, and attempts to make contact went unanswered. Israel closed its airspace and scrambled fighter jets. Israeli sources told CBS that if the aircraft had continued approaching, fighters would have intercepted it before any potential shootdown decision reached Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Investigators have another reason to examine that scenario: an Israeli official told CBS that the co-pilot allegedly said he intended to crash the jet into Ben Gurion Airport. The investigation remains ongoing, and Flydubai has cautioned against premature speculation. The aircraft ultimately diverted and landed safely in Saudi Arabia.
