'KPop Demon Hunters' Creators Break Down Meeting The Saja Boys: 'Soda Pop' Lyrics, Animation & More
Description: The creators and voice actors behind ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ break down everything that went into our introduction to the Saja Boys. From the character design of the members–“let’s objectify men like crazy”–to the writing of their song ‘Soda Pop,’ the animators, designers, and directors reveal the thousands of decisions that make this scene so…“infectious.”
See the storyboard drawings that first shaped the action, and how they were transformed into beautiful, painstaking 3D animation (6 months went into Abby’s abs alone). Plus, hear from cast members Ahn Hyo-seop (Jinu), Arden Cho (Rumi), May Hong (Mira) and Ji-young Yoo (Zoey) about what surprised them most when they finally saw the movie, from the integration of their voices to the most iconic needle drops–“Is that an EXO song? Is that the song from ‘Business Proposal?!’”
The ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ village includes:
Chris Appelhans, Director
Maggie Kang, Director
Arden Cho, Rumi
Ahn Hyo-seop, Jinu
May Hong, Mira
Ji-young Yoo, Zoey
Michelle Wong, Producer
Helen Chen, Production Designer
Joshua Beveridge, Animation Director
