My Dream, Their Future | Sokleap Ngon | TEDxGerman European School Singapore Youth
Description: Sokleap shares his journey from growing up in rural Cambodia with limited opportunities to becoming part of a movement dedicated to creating new possibilities for others. Sokleap Ngon is the Co-Founder of Smiling Gecko Cambodia,
a social development initiative focused on creating sustainable opportunities through education, vocational training, agriculture and community development.
Born in rural Kampong Cham, Sokleap grew up in a family where opportunities for education were limited. In 2014, Leap co-founded Smiling Gecko Cambodia. What began as a small initiative supporting families from disadvantaged communities has become a 150-hectare integrated campus supporting 1000+ students, staff and trainees across education, agriculture, craftsmanship, food production and hospitality. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx Close description
