I have both my eyeballs again..
Description: For the first time in two months, I look like myself again.
If you've been following this, you know how the last two months went. It started as what I thought was a stye. A small bump, nothing I hadn't dealt with a hundred times before. Then it swelled. Then it got worse. Then a hard lump formed on my lid that wouldn't go away no matter what I did. I lost my right eye to cancer when I was 2 years old and I've worn a prosthetic ever since, which means everything I see runs through one eye. For most of this, both sides of my face were in trouble at the same time.
I couldn't wear my prosthetic. Not for a day, not for a week, for two months.
That's the part nobody really saw.
I've worn a prosthetic eye every single day since I was a toddler. Taking it out, cleaning it, putting it back in, that's as normal to me as brushing my teeth. It's been part of my face longer than I have memories. And then one day I couldn't do it anymore, and I had to walk around with an empty socket and a face that made strangers look twice and then look away.
I stopped going places. I stopped filming. I stopped being the guy who's comfortable with all of this in front of twelve million people, because it's a very different thing when you don't have a choice.
Then the drops. Then the two hours where I couldn't see out of my only working eye at all and genuinely did not know if it was coming back. Then two weeks of slow healing that I filmed every single day.
And now this.
In this video I show you everything. The full recap of how bad it got, the parts of the last two months I've never talked about, what it's actually like living without a prosthetic when you've worn one your whole life, the socket, the cleaning, the prep, and the entire process of putting an eye back in after two months of not being able to.
Then I put in a custom eye for the first time since all of this started.
Then I put in my realistic one.
And for the first time in two months, I look in the mirror and I look like me.
I'm not all the way there yet. My eye isn't perfect. There's still some healing left and I'll keep you updated on it. But the difference between where I am right now and where I was a month ago is the difference between the worst stretch I've had as an adult and getting my life back.
If you've been here since HOW I LOST MY EYE, since i lost my eyes, since every hospital video and every surgery, you know what this eye means to me. Thank you for sticking around through two months of me getting worse. This is the video where it finally turns.
And there's one more thing coming. The most expensive eye I've ever owned is on its way to me right now, real gold and a real diamond, and I'm putting it in on camera very soon.
