US Navy 'SHOCKED' In Hormuz, IRGC Boats Swarm Tanker In Major Maritime Showdown | Watch
Description: A tanker turned back while entering the Strait of Hormuz after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned that it would be targeted if it continued, according to UK Maritime Trade Operations.
UKMTO said the incident took place around 11 nautical miles north of Khasab, Oman. The tanker’s master complied with the instruction and turned back. The vessel has not been publicly identified, and authorities are investigating.
The incident comes amid heightened tensions around one of the world’s most important energy shipping routes. Iran has sought to assert greater control over traffic through Hormuz during its conflict with the United States and Israel, while Washington maintains a naval blockade of Iranian ports.
