Why did [thing] succeed, when [other thing] failed? | Josh Strife Hayes | TEDxNorthern Quarter

Description: Why do some ideas succeed while apparently similar ones fail?

This talk explores how timing, technology, economics, culture and environment shape success, revealing why outcomes make more sense when we look beyond the idea itself. Josh started life as a baby and has since been a child, a teenager, a go-kart mechanic, a paintball marshal, a martial arts instructor, a warehouse labourer, a drama teacher, a theatre actor, a trampoline party host, a film actor, a stage host for events including TEDx, Runefest, FormatGG and the indy game awards, a youtuber, a twitch streamer, a game design consultant and now, a full time content creator.

Through that journey, he's met many interesting people, and done many interesting things, including writing this bio, which absolutely ranks within the top 50. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx Close description
