Pope Leo XIV Joins Pilots Inside Cockpit During AirFrance Flight While Fighter Jets Escort Plane

Description: During his flight from Lourdes to Metz—the final stop of his apostolic journey to France—Pope Leo XIV visited the Air France cockpit. As during his trip to Spain, it was clear that the Holy Father has a special appreciation for airplanes—and that a visit to the cockpit is always a treat for him.
After a full day in Metz, Pope Leo XIV is scheduled to fly back to Rome this evening, concluding his Sept. 25–28 visit to France.
