How To Delete Facebook Account (New 2026 Update)
Description: Here's how to delete your Facebook account permanently with the new 2026 layout.
Facebook shows different menus on different accounts and makes the delete option hard to find, so this covers both layouts.
Every route leads into Meta's Accounts Center, where you'll choose permanent deletion rather than deactivation. Deleting also affects your Facebook Messenger account, so it's worth downloading your data first, and you'll have 30 days to change your mind by logging back in.
Shown on iPhone, and it works on Android and on a computer at facebook.com.
0:00 Delete Your Facebook Account
0:10 Get Into Your Facebook Settings
0:56 Reach The Deletion Page
1:14 Permanently Delete Your Account
